Roger L. Fetters
Roger L. Fetters, 76, Barnum, died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born on April 3, 1943 in Moose Lake to Arthur and Louise Fetters. Roger grew up in Barnum where he attended school. Through the years, Roger drove bus for Barnum Schools, worked at Brenny-Dahl Block Company in Cloquet, and drove truck for Jerry Hammitt. He also was a security guard at the Drive-In Theater near Barnum. Roger also worked all over the United States tearing out railroad tracks. He loved to hunt, fish, attend threshing shows, watch the MN Vikings, and play Santa Claus in the schools. Roger was also on the Carlton County Search and Rescue.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Fetters; sister: Sandra Cheney; and a brother-in-law: Kenny True.
Roger will be lovingly remembered by his 7 children: Jeff (Valerie) of Andover; Scott (Cindy) of Kettle River; Pam (Bob Merritt) Fetters of Tamarack; Allen (Michelle) of Barnum; Mark of Barnum; Brian of Barnum; and Kathleen Fetters of St. Cloud; adopted daughter: Kimberlie Wait of Barnum; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister: Linda True of Garland, TX; brother: Harold (Rhonda) Fetters of Crestview, OR; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1 PM until the 2 PM Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake.
