Romayne Storck, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, was called to her eternal resting place on March 15, 2026.
She was born on September 20, 1943, in Weatherford, Texas, to Albert "Dutch" and Vera Dietz.
On August 24, 1962, Romayne was united in marriage to the love of her life, William "Bill" Storck, in Britt, Iowa—a love story that began in elementary school and blossomed into a lifelong, unbreakable bond. Together, they built a life grounded in love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to family. Their journey took them from Britt, Iowa to their college years in Iowa City, Iowa, where they welcomed their first son, Todd, in 1963. They continued their story through meaningful chapters in Faribault and Litchfield, Minnesota, where their second son, Thane, was born in 1969, and later in Ironwood, Michigan. Eventually, they made their home in Moose Lake, Minnesota, where they pursued their careers and spent their later years savoring both the quiet, tender moments and the joyful, laughter-filled times together. Through every stage of life, their love remained steadfast—a true partnership filled with devotion, joy, and enduring companionship.
Romayne is lovingly remembered by her husband, Bill; her sons, Thane Storck (Carol) and Todd Storck; her cherished grandchildren, Thane "TJ" Storck, Jasmine Storck, and Sara McCoy (Riley); and her adored great-granddaughter, Grace McCoy. She is also survived by her brother, Albert "AB" Dietz; her sister, Elaine Richardson; and many dear in-laws, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Family was the center of Romayne's world. She found her greatest joy in the time she spent with those she loved, especially her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Her love was constant, generous, and deeply felt by all who knew her.
Romayne had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. She found peace beneath the night sky, marveling at the stars and the moon, and took great joy in the quiet wonders of the outdoors. She also loved to travel, always eager to experience new places and create lasting memories.
Known for her kindness and compassion, Romayne had a warm and welcoming spirit that drew people to her. Her gentle nature, paired with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, brought comfort and laughter to many. She formed lasting friendships throughout her life and truly cared for the people around her.
Romayne gave generously of her time through volunteer work at Mercy Hospital and a local nursing home in Moose Lake, where her caring presence made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
She found great joy in celebrating holidays and had a special gift for decorating her home, filling it with warmth, beauty, and a welcoming spirit for all who entered. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, his music brought her lasting happiness. Romayne also cherished attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and concerts, always showing up with pride and enthusiasm. Known as the "queen of birthdays," she delighted in celebrating not only her own special day, but also those of her family and friends, making each person feel truly seen, valued, and loved.
Romayne will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to family, and the kindness she extended so freely to others. Her life was a reflection of love, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation and memorial service to honor Romayne's life will be held on March 23 at Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home in Moose Lake, Minnesota.
