Ronald "Mickey" Molloy, 84, Finlayson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023 with his family by his side.  He was born on November 25, 1938 in Pine City to John and Mildred (Kepler) Molloy.  Mickey grew up on the family farm just south of Finlayson and he attended Finlayson School.  He joined the United States Navy in 1956, serving 4 years on the USS Shangri-La working in the boiler room.  On January 16, 1960, Mickey married Karlene Gustafson.  Mickey was a hard worker and had several different jobs through the years.  He hauled milk, plowed underground cable for R & G Waldhalm, owned and operated Mickey's Bar & Grill in Askov, and drove dump truck for Melzark Excavating.  Mickey drove truck until his cancer diagnosis in September of 2021.  Mickey enjoyed spending time with his family and had several get togethers all year long.  He enjoyed going to the Trestle Inn in Finland in his RV, coin collecting, Farmall Tractors, farming, and fishing.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents: John and Mildred; grandson: Connor Waage; and his great nephew: Brendon Molloy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Karlene; children: Cheri (Pete) Molloy; Mark Molloy; Kelly (Randy) Romanowski; and Kara (Brian) Waage; grandchildren: Ryan (Jamie); Adam (Melissa); Alyssa (Jake); Chelsea (Max); and Jack; great grandchildren: Camryn, Kaeden; Kori, Kooper, Jase, Willow, and Brynlee; nephew: DJ (Chris) Molloy; great nephews: Colton and Dillion; and many friends.

Mickey's wishes were to not have any services.  A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later time.
