Ronald Edward Olson

Ronald E. Olson from Aitkin, MN passed away at age 78 on Saturday, Jan. 31st at Riverwood Healthcare Center. Ron was born March 26, 1936 in Duluth. He grew up in Barnum and graduated from Barnum High School. He raised his family in Bloomington where he worked as a self-employed master electrician. Ron and wife later retired to their lake home in Aitkin. Ron loved fishing, hunting, animals, and photography. He especially loved fishing from his dock with his grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by Elmer and Dora (Erickson) Olson and a sister, Pat Nordstrom.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Lois; daughter, Rhonda (Randy) Poore, son, Michael (Rebecca) Olson, son, Douglas (Valerie) Olson, and five grandchildren Tina, Emily, Alex, Jacob, and Morgan.

Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM Service on Thurs., Feb 5 in Barnum Community United Methodist Church, Barnum, MN. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Barnum.
