Ronald Harwell Tyson Sr.
Ronald Tyson Sr, 84, Moose Lake, died Saturday, February 17, 2018 in his home, in Moose Lake. He was born in and grew up out east, in Boothwyn, PA, where he married Ethel Crowley on November 16, 1951. Their marriage was blessed with five children. During that time Ron worked for Zenith Metal for 15 years, as a supervisor in the tool shop. After relocating to Minnesota, he worked for Globe Tool for 10 years in a supervisory role until his retirement. They moved up to Moose Lake where he was able to enjoy the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golfing, and his garden railway. He had a passion for steam engines and the railroad. Ronald and his family attended Evangelical Covenant Church, where he enjoyed his church bible study friends. Ron was a giver, offering help to those who needed it. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Ronald Tyson Jr. and two brothers.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Ethel; four children: Terry Ann Wisman (Denis); Laura Peterson; Earl Tyson (Mary Anne); and Beth Tyson; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and two brothers; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Tyson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, February 23, 2018 at Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Funeral will be on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 am in Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake, with a visitation one-hour prior at church. Burial will be in Mount Salem Cemetery, Mahtowa Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Ronald's memory to the Mercy Foundation to be used in the Oncology Department.
