Rose Stella Magdziarz, 90 of Sturgeon Lake Township, died Monday, May 31, 2010 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born June 5, 1919 in Kettle River to Walter and Josephine (Milczarek) Wojtysiak. Rose attended Kettle River School. She was a junior leader of the Silver Star 4-H Club. Rose was united in marriage to Frank A. Magdziarz on November 20, 1943 in Split Rock Township. Rose and Frank moved to the family farm in Sturgeon Lake Township in 1943. Rose was on the Council of Catholic Women, St. Isidore's Parish Council as well as the Homemakers Group. Rose enjoyed family, food and flowers. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; son, Frank; 5 brothers, Joe, Walter, Ignatz, Tony and Lewis Wojtysiak.

Rose is survived by 1 son, Ed (Darlene) Magdziarz of Finlayson; 3 daughters, Joanne (Terry) Prachar of Moose Lake, Dianne (Mark) Dobosenski of Duluth and Rosalie (John) Rothstein of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Ross Prachar, Matt (Gigi) Dobosenski, Jake (Jody) Dobosenski, Andrea (Bryan) Reese, Katrina Dobosenski, Colleen (Greg) Kliniski, Mark (Melissa) Magdziarz, Nick, Laura and Meredith Rothstein; great grandchildren, Gavin, Garek, Kaleb, Ian, Allison, Lucas, Joey, Alexis and great grandchild Magdziarz to be; 1 sister, Martha (Louie) Zuk of Moose Lake; many nieces and nephews; very special friend, Alice Pepin. Visitation was on Saturday, June 5, from 9 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial with a Rosary Service at 10 AM in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Sturgeon Lake with Father Steve Daigle was the celebrant. Casket Bearers were Matthew and Jacob Dobosenski, Mark Magdziarz, Nick Rothstein, Ross Prachar and Kenny Whitehouse. Interment was in St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery, Sturgeon Lake.
