Ruth Lillian Renzaglia, 88, Moose Lake, died Friday, December 11, 2009. She was born January 29, 1921 in Ironwood, MI to Ivar and Senija (Kivi) Nevala. Ruth was united in marriage to George Haapala in June of 1940 in Ironwood, MI. Ruth was and LPN at the Moose Lake State Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting afghans, reading, gardening and playing cards. Ruth was a member of the Moose Lodge #479 of Moose Lake and the Moose Lake United Methodist Church.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, George Haapala; her parents; 3 sisters, Sylvia, Irene and Helvia; brother, Marvin; son-in-law, Lawrence Dodds.

Ruth is survived by 3 daughters, Doreen (August) Zezulka of Esko, Marilyn Dodds of Eagan and Karen (Michael) Hayes of Dayton, NV; brother, Richard Nevala of Ironwood, MI; 7 grandchildren, Tim (Tricia) Zezulka, Brent (Gina) Zezulka, Jill (David) Cossalter, Gina (Gregory) Fine, Wendy Dodds, Jennifer (Rob) Tustian and Amy (Steve) Keiser; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friend, Lil Ament.

Visitation was held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 15 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continued at Noon until the 1:00 PM service on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in the Moose Lake United Methodist Church.
