Ryan Jon
Sather
July 28, 1977 – April 6, 2025
Ryan Jon Sather, 47, of Duluth, passed away on April 6, 2025. He was born to Jon and Barbara Sather on July 28, 1977. Ryan was a 1995 graduate of Denfeld High School. He went on to earn his Accounting degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a Master's in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota. Ryan worked as a CPA and was a partner at Esterbrooks in Duluth. He took great pride in his work and found joy in helping his clients.
Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling the world, and supporting his wife, Jackie, his high school sweetheart, along with their two daughters—Kaitlyn (17) and Emily (15). Ryan was known for his generosity, ambition, and deep love for others. His leadership as a man of God in his home, church, and community reflected his desire to live like Christ. He had the unique ability to transform any room he entered with his laughter, smile, and wisdom. His impact on his family, partners, coworkers, clients, and many friends will be remembered forever. In his final act of selflessness, Ryan chose to save a life through organ donation.
Ryan is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughters, Kaitlyn and Emily; his parents, Jon and Barbara Sather; his sister, Tonya (Deon) Pinkard; his brother, Chad (Rachel) Sather; his in-laws, George (Tina) Olson, Pat (Rhonda) Olson, Brian (Laurie) Olson, John Lundgren, Andy (Kristi) Lundgren, Karen Smith, and Jessica Lundgren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will take place at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W Street, Duluth. Visitation will be on April 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and April 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the service at 11:00 AM.
