Scott Allan Fredrick, resident of Kerrick, MN died unexpectedly but peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 20 th , 2019 at the young age of 62 years old. He was born on January 5 th , 1957 in Racine, WI to Franklyn and Ethel (Kateley) Fredrick.
Scott grew up in Racine, WI and graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1974. Shortly after, he married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Ann Smith, in Milwaukee, WI on November 29 th , 1975. They lived in Wisconsin for the next 15 years, raising three children, before moving and settling down in Kerrick, MN. Scott worked for Twin Disc in Racine, WI as a machinist, in maintenance at Grand Casino Hinckley and as a machinist for Reliable Bronze. After a fall in 2000, Scott became retired. Retirement provided him plenty of time for the things he enjoyed most; reading, fishing, and tinkering. He was an elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Askov. Scott was a master of all trades, knowing a little bit about a lot of things, even building his own home. He was a family man at heart, loving his children and grandchildren more than life itself. Scott will be remembered by his family as stubborn, but kind, open-hearted, loving, caring, and helpful.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklyn and Ethel; brother, John (Charlene "Sharky") Fredrick; and brother-in-law, Arthur Smith.
Scott will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl; sons, Jessie, Jamie, and Dean Fredrick; daughters, Leann Fredrick, Naomi Harris, and Sarah Fredrick; grandchildren, Dominique (Douglas), Dakota, Sierra (Adam), PVT Louis, Legend, Elizabeth, Vincent, Korben, Alexander, Elijah, Lilliana, Raven, Gabrial, Sean, Tiffany, and many "adopted" grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Hunter Douglas and Bud Theodore; parents-in-law, Arthur and Jeanette Smith; sister, Marsha Stapleman; sister-in-law, Rebecca Smith; brother-in-law, Steven Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Ronald Bogard.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 1pm on Saturday, September 21 st , 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – 3422 MN HWY 23 Askov, MN 55704.
