SCOTT ALAN SWANSON

Scott Alan Swanson, 52, of Moose Lake, formerly of Cloquet, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, December 16, 2013 at his home. He was born September 28, 1961 in Cloquet to David and Nancy (Parks) Swanson. Scott was employed at Potlatch/Sappi until retiring in 2006. He was a collector of everything and enjoyed fishing, camping, skiing and car racing. Scott especially adored his children and grandchildren and was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Selmer and Ella Swanson; maternal grandfather, Wendell Parks.

Scott is survived by his children, Kalan Swanson of Barnum, Nichole Swanson of Cloquet, Carrine Swanson of Barnum, Cameron Swanson of Barnum and stepson, Bryan Keinanen of Barnum; grandmother, Evangeline Parks; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Jaydon Louks; sisters, Teresa Swanson of Moose Lake and Jennifer (Sach Balagopalan) Swanson of Easton, MA; nieces and nephews, Megan Nelson, Rowan and Jay Balagopalan, Abigail Anderson and Hannah Anderson.
