Obituary

Sharon L. Scharrer, 80, Sturgeon Lake, died peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2022 in St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth.  She was born on May 4, 1942 in St. Paul to James and Audrey Robinson.  Sharon grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School in 1960.  On April 29, 1961, Sharon married Jeffery Scharrer at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in St. Paul.  They lived on the Eastside of St. Paul and Sharon worked as an Administrative Secretary until they moved to Sturgeon Lake in 2002.  They were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was also a member of the CCW.  Sharon was devoted to her family, especially her grandsons, and was the heart and soul of the family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, cousin, aunt, and so much to so many. Sharon will be remembered for her laughter, beautiful smile, love of great conversation, and how she paid attention to the smallest details that make up the best parts of life.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Audrey Robinson; and two sisters: Joan and Denise.

Sharon will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 61 years, Jeffery; three children: Jeffery John (Robin) Scharrer; James Scharrer; and Joseph (Joy) Scharrer; four grandsons: Tony, Luke (Emily), Dominic, and Jack; six siblings: Nancy, Linda, Bonnie, Ross, Mary, and Darlene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 am until 11:45 am on Monday, October 24, 2022 in St. Mary's Center, Willow River.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at Noon on Monday, October 24, 2022 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Willow River.  Private family burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
