Obituary

Shirley Ann Matuseski, 78 of Moose Lake, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at her home. She was born July 20, 1935 in Sandstone to Ed and Marianne Jungck. Shirley attended high school and junior college in Hibbing. She moved to Moose Lake in 1958, where she met and married Lawrence Matuseski. She enjoyed 56 years of raising four daughters and establishing countless friendships. To know her was to love her.

Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Willie; step-mother, Kay Jungck and her step-father, Norman Tronnes.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Lawrence of Moose Lake; daughters, Robyn (Jim) Smith of Andover, Paulette (Mark) Sorenson of Roseville, Cammy (Tim) Henderson of Palmdale, CA and Kathryn Matuseski of Orlando, FL. She dearly loved her four grandchildren, Sarah, Madeline, Davie and Bjorn; sisters, Linda (Larry) Armstrong, Joy (Ken) Mohr, Kathy (Gene) Bochniak and brother, Wayne (Susie) Mandery; many special cousins, nieces and nephews who remember her with love. In addition, special life-long friends, Bette and Gary Skelton; friend, Linda Jensen, who became like her own daughter, and friend, Judy Radel Trigg. The three caring angels, Bette, Linda and Judy, assisted Shirley in every way throughout her long battle with cancer. Without them, Shirley's family would have been hard put. A very special thanks to Lisa Nygren, Theresa Kost and the other care specialists from St. Croix Hospice who provided special home care and friendship to Shirley and our family during her battle with cancer.

Please join us at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake on Saturday, March 1, at 10 AM to mix with family and friends to celebrate Shirley's life. This will be followed by a Mass at 11 AM.

Shirley would be pleased to see a large crowd enjoying a special lunch that will be held after Mass in the church fellowship hall. To sign the guestbook online, go to: www.hhkfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are with Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
