Rudebeck

Shirley Rudebeck, 83, Barnum, died suddenly on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1934 to Leonard and Dolie Arduser on a farm in Belden, NE where she grew up and attended school. Shirley lived in California until 1956 when she moved to Barnum. She worked at Maplewood Hatchery and Poultry farm for 10 years; the State Bank of Barnum for 11 years; and as a cook at the Elementary School for 16 years. Shirley did a lot of volunteering at her church, Moose Lake Food Shelf, and in her community for the Barnum Fire Bells, Barnum Commercial Club, and the Barnum Senior Center where she was President for several years. In 2011, Shirley was voted as Outstanding Senior for Carlton County. She loved angels, cooking, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Tuffy" Rudebeck; two brothers: Charles Arduser and Laddie Arduser; two sisters: Wilma Jean Boucher and Norma Jean Arduser; and her parents.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Rick (Loretta); Mike (Gretchen); and Marshall (Jean) all of Barnum; 3 grandchildren: Trina Ennen, Chad (Missy) Rudebeck; and Adam (Sarah) Rudebeck; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the 3 PM service Friday, August 17, 2018 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Barnum. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 9:35 AM in Assembly Area #6.
