Stanley A. Misukanis
Stanley A. Misukanis, 86, Moose Lake, died peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1925 in Milwaukee to John and Sophie Misukanis. At the age of 4, Stanley moved with his family to Windemere Twp. where he grew up and attended school. Stanley was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in Korea. After serving his country, Stanley came back to Windemere Twp. and continued farming. He was very proud to have built the barn and other buildings with his brother. Stanley was also well known for lending a hand to any neighbors that needed help. On August 18, 1979, Stanley married Pat Sette in Moose Lake. They lived in Sturgeon Lake and later moved to Moose Lake. Stanley worked for Prachar's Construction for 6 years and later did carpentry work on his own. He loved fishing, Twin's Baseball, woodworking, and remodeling.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents: John and Sophie Misukanis; a brother: Ed Kane; and two sisters: Theresa Jorgensen and Agnes Zabaske.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Pat; a daughter: Liz (Ron) Greski of Sturgeon Lake; two grandchildren: Rachel Greski (Josh Smith) and Briana (Bill) Duffield; a great grandson: Mason; and nieces and nephews: Susie (Lloyd) Herzog; Chester Zabaske; Karen (Charlie) Erickson; and Mark (Roxanne) Kane as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11 AM in Moose Lake United Methodist Church with a Memorial Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
