Stella Elizabeth Simmons Schnoor, 86, of Tulare, CA, passed peacefully at home with her son, Michael by her side. Stella was born in Woodland, CA to Henry and Estella (Akins) Simmons. Stella was the tenth child of eleven children. Stella graduated from Corcoran High School, Class of 1944. Stella was united in marriage to Thomas Schnoor on October 6, 1946 in Corcoran, CA. Stella moved to Minnesota in 1995 and was a member of Holy Angeles Catholic Church. She moved back to Tulare, California in 2004. She was a homemaker as well as a master gardener, master quilter and a master food preserver for Extension Office in both California and Minnesota.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; 1 son, Patrick.

Stella is survived by son, Michael Schnoor; daughter, Barbara Pereira; husband, Dick; granddaughter, Jacquie Pereira; many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family of friends will be Friday, May 24, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake.
