Obituary

Steven Ray Storebo, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was born on July 9, 1955, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Ray Storebo and Imogene Johnson.

Steven graduated from high school in 1973. Throughout his working years, he held a variety of jobs and gained experience in many different fields. His first job was driving a milk truck, followed by construction work in Hibbing, Minnesota. He later worked in the Twin Cities, where he held several different positions. Steven continued his education through online studies and earned his master's degree in Business Management.

Steven had a natural talent and passion for working on automobiles. He was a very knowledgeable mechanic who enjoyed working on cars and had a gift for understanding how things worked. He also ventured into real estate, where he worked selling homes and property. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved spending time at Lake Kabetogama.

Above all, Steven's daughter, Nichole, was one of the most important parts of his life. She meant the world to him. Her passing on February 18, 2024, was a heartbreaking loss that deeply affected him and left a lasting impact on his life.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nichole Storebo; and his father, Ray Storebo.

Steven is survived by his mother, Imogene, and stepfather, Roland "Rolly" Johnson; his siblings, Teresa (Ted) Mickelson, Dale (Christine) Storebo, Sandy (Mike) Cox, and David (Sarah) Storebo; along with many stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bruno, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
