Susan Matlock, 48, of Cloquet, passed away August 24, 2011 after a 22 month battle with H1N1 and ARDS. She was born March 19, 1963, in Duluth to Jalmer and Carol (Anderson) Skoglund. Susan was united in marriage to Curtis Matlock on July 14, 1984 in Moose Lake. Susan loved animals of all kinds and riding horses was her favorite thing to do growing up. She also loved her dogs, especially her white teacup poodle, Alexis. Susan served as President of the Humane Society in Cloquet for 2 years and also hosted her own TV show on channel 8 called, "Animals In Our Lives". Susan was also an avid gardener and photographer.

Susan is preceded in death by her
father, Jalmer.

Susan is survived by her husband Curtis; mother, Carol Skoglund; brothers, Bob Skoglund, William (Wendy) Skoglund and Wayne (Cindy) Skoglund; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her Chinese Crested Ruby.

Visitation was on Tuesday, August 30, from 1 PM until the 2 PM service in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
