Terrance Michael DeRungs

Terrance Michael DeRungs, born August 12, 1960, passed away at home with his wife and loved ones by his side Monday October 26, 2026. He was born in Willow River, Minnesota, to Lawrence and Mary Ann (Anderson) DeRungs and grew up on the family farm.

Terrance came from a large Catholic family. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time in the woods, and running his equipment, especially his excavator. He worked for many years as an industrial mechanic at Aveda.

On April 23, 1994, Terrance married the love of his life, Chris. To the children in the family, he was affectionately known as “Ter Bear.” A natural jokester and the life of the party, he loved to tease and was known for his silly moose call. His humor and joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

Terrance was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Larry, Danny, Billy, and Chuckie; sister Mary Rose; nieces Amy and Liza; and nephew Deaner.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Chris DeRungs of Blaine, Minnesota; son Justin (Whitney) Guy of Nisswa; daughter Shannon Guy of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; siblings, Sharon Mikrot, Sandy (Kevin) Mikrot; twin brother, Timmy; brother, Nick; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the noon Memorial Mass on Friday, November 6, 2026, at St. Isadore Catholic Church,9010 Main Street, Sturgeon Lake, MN. A private inurnment will be held.
