Thomas (Tom) E. Lambert was born on October 31, 1926 to Joseph and Josephine (Labrie) Lambert in Saginaw, MN.  Tom passed away peacefully at St. Luke's on September 10, 2023 surrounded by family.

Tom was raised on a farm with his siblings, and this instilled a lifelong love of farming and a strong work-ethic. Over his lifetime, Tom operated most forms of equipment ranging from a milk truck to a zamboni, with a particular love for his John Deere 60. Some of his most memorable jobs included: driving a school bus, working at the gravel pit, being an owner-operator of Lambert Garbage Service, and doing maintenance at the Culkin Rest Area in Mahtowa. In his later years, he delighted in caring for family lawns, helping his sons farm, and spending time in his workshop. He found fulfillment and joy around children and babies, and this helped keep him young into his 90s.

Tom was preceded in death by both parents: Joseph Lambert and Josephine Peterson; brothers Omar, Ray, and Leo; sisters Blanch Pion and JoAnn Boudin; his daughter, Linda Ziells; and great-grandson, Cody Boudin.

Tom has left behind many loved ones: his wife of 43 years, Barb (Klejeski) Lambert; his children: Diane (Dan) Murphy, son-in-law Jim Ziells, Bonnie (Ken) Swanson, Tom (Mary Ann) Lambert, Joyce Slocum, Martin (Barb) Lambert, Rita (Paul) Lenzen, Jeff (Chris) Klejeski, Jon (Kim) Klejeski, Joe (Amanda) Lambert, Jerad (Sarah) Lambert, and Jana (Nate) Hergert; multiple brother- and sister-in-laws; 38 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Mahtowa Covenant Church on Friday September 15th from 5:00-7:00 pm and resume on Saturday September 16th from 10:00am-11:00am with funeral to follow at 11:00. Burial will be at Mount Salem Cemetery following the service.
