Thomas "Tom" Newbloom, 70, of Moose Lake, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at his home. He was born May 2, 1938 in Moose Lake to Ernest and Ina (Anderson) Newbloom. Tom was united in marriage to Joyce Nelson on August 17, 1957 in Moose Lake. Tom worked a number of years at Conwed in Cloquet. He also worked for Gordys Arrowhead and Pla-Mor as a general manager until his retirement. Tom enjoyed spending time at his Coffee Lake property, fishing and also his hunting shack. He took pride in his beautiful landscaped yard. He truly loved his wife, children and grandchildren & especially his partner in crime, Elmer. Tom was the most caring man ever. He made sure everyone had enough to eat and always called to say, "Goodnight". Grandpa sure enjoyed teasing his grandchildren & always sent them letters in the mail. Tom thought of others before himself.
