Thomas James Olson, 71, of Kerrick died Friday, July 15, 2020 at his home. Tom was born May 10, 1949 in Eugene, Oregon the son of Enoch and Elizabeth (Plemel) Olson.

Tom was proud to be a United States Army Veteran, after serving his country in Vietnam from 1968 until 1972.  Tom married Jeanne Dossey in 1995.

He spent the majority of his career working for Lakeville Motor Express as a Mechanic.

Tom enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, thrift stores, fixing things, but more than anything, Tom enjoyed time spent with his son, Kyle. Tom had many interests and enjoyed life.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Enoch Olson.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Olson of Ham Lake; son, Kyle Olson of Ham Lake; mother, Elizabeth Olson of Farmington; brothers, Warren (Dee) Olson of St. Paul, Bruce (Carolyn) Olson of East Bethel, Loren (Karen) Olson of Lonsdale, Kevin Olson of Cannon Falls, Keith (Kristi) Olson of Cannon Falls; sisters, Margaret (Arthur) Ersfeld of Lakeville, Gloria (Randy) Slagel of Farmington, and Noreen Pohl of AppleValley .

A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 3 PM until 6 PM at American Legion Post 65, 14590 Burma Ave W, Rosemount, MN 55068. A private family inurnment will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on a later date.
