Timothy John "Tim" Adamczak, Sr.

Tim Adamczak, Sr., 52, Barstow, CA, formerly of Kerrick, lost his life due to the results of a motorcycle/vehicle accident on June 16, 2016.

He was born on August 25, 1963 at Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake to the late Raymond Adamczak and Mary Adamczak of Kerrick.
Tim graduated from Askov High School in 1981. He joined the Army in 1980 on the Delayed Entry Program and did his base training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and schooling at Fort Knox Kentucky for tank mechanic. Tim was an outstanding soldier and received many awards. He did two tours of duty in Germany, his first tour he traveled Spain, Lourdes, France, and Holland. His second tour in Germany he was stationed at Baumholder Army Base 29 years after his Dad served and was stationed there.


While at Fort Carson, CO, he met a girl named Janet and she became his wife on July 15, 1988 in Germany. Tim and Janet made their home in Barstow for 25 years. He worked at Travel Centers of America for 20 years.

As a young person, he liked hunting and trapping but most of all he liked his motorcycles. He was a true Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.

Tim is survived by his wife, Janet of Barstow; son, Timothy, Jr. of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Mother: Mary Adamczak of Kerrick; 3 brothers: Roger of Hinckley; Jeffrey of Kerrick; and Jamie (Jennifer) of Kerrick; sister: Andrea (Jeffery) Peterson of Kerrick; 3 nephews: Anthony (Mary Alberg) of Duluth; Theodore Adamczak and Alexander Adamczak both of Kerrick; niece: Nycole Nelson of Kerrick; Godmother: Loretta (Winston) Dutchin of Shoreview; 2 Aunts: Mary Jane Murphy of Cambridge and Josephine Osberg of Duluth; Uncle: Ernest Adamczak of Wyoming, MN; many cousins and many many friends. Tim you will be missed so much and I will love you forever. Love, Mom.

A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at NOON on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Duquette Community Cemetery. Pastor Nathan Anderson will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the Sturgeon Lake – Denham American Legion Post #361.
