Tracey A. (McAlpine) Johnson, 55, of Sturgeon Lake, MN, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 25, 2018 at her home. She was born May 16,1962 in South St. Paul, MN to Patrick and Judy (Trepp) McAlpine.

Tracey was raised in South St. Paul and graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1980. She attended Vermilion Jr. College in Ely, MN studying Forestry. She married Rick Johnson April 7, 1990 and they were self-employed rental property owners.

Tracey was an outdoors woman who loved to fish. In her younger years she was an accomplished bow hunter. She and Rick enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with their family and friends. Tracey's greatest love and enjoyment was becoming a grandmother.

Tracey is survived by her husband: Rick; sons:  Richard and Zakk (Victoria) Johnson; parents:  Pat and Judy McAlpine; sister:  Kelley (Michael) Maiwurm; brother:  Patrick (Arlene) McAlpine; grandson:  Justin; mother-in-law:  Josephine (Ad) Roos; father-in-law:  Richard (Gail) Johnson; sisters-in-law: Cathy (David) Hanna, Bonnie (Steven) Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home in Moose Lake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
