Obituary

Veronica "Roni" Loretta Krall, 89, of Moose Lake, formerly of Duluth, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Augustana Care Center, Moose Lake. Roni was born to Frank and Mary (Anzelc) Rot on March 4, 1931 in Duluth.

She grew up in Duluth and graduated from Denfeld High School in 1949. Following her high school graduation, Roni attended Carey Gasper School of Business. On September 30, 1950, Roni married Stanley A. Krall. The two made an incredible dance duo. Dancing was something they loved to do together. Roni worked at Moland Brothers in Duluth until Stanley entered the service and they moved to Georgia for a short time. Upon returning to Duluth, she became a homemaker where she and Stanley raised their children. Roni spent the majority of those years working in the Duluth school system as a cook.

Shortly before Stanley's passing in 2008, they relocated to Moose Lake. Roni spent five years volunteering as a  "foster grandma" at Moose Lake Elementary School, loving every second of her role. She made a difference in many childrens' lives. Roni appreciated people and loved being surrounded by those dearest to her. She enjoyed music, dancing, oil painting, cribbage, watching sports and playing bingo.

Roni is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Krall; siblings William Rot, Edward Rot and Ann Gilbertson; and her parents.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn (Bart) Meisner of Barnum and Gail (Paul Reschke) Krall of Box Elder, SD; one son, Dale (Deborah) Krall of Nickerson; two grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Asher and Kari LaHaie; three great grandchildren, Hallie DeVries, Hunter LaHaie and Jade LaHaie.
