Violet "Vi" R. Priem, 83, of Duquette, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. She was born March 6, 1933 to Arnold and Margaret (Parks) Torgerson. Vi was united in marriage to Melvin J. Priem on February 17, 1951 in Carlton. Vi was a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood carving, playing cribbage, reading, gardening and especially spending time with her family.

Vi is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents; 3 sons, Rickey, David and Randy; 10 brothers and sisters.

Vi is survived by 3 sons, Alan Priem of Bellchester, Edwin (Linda) Priem of Carlton and Marty (Kimberly) Priem of Barnum; 1 daughter, Renay (Ricky) Dodge of Shell Lake, WI; grandchildren, Joe, Rhonda, Krissy, Tina, Sami, Michelle, Dan, Randi, Jessie, Cassie, Serena, Ben, Miriana, Stephanie and Cher; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Doris (Leo) Hill of CO.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, from 1 PM until the 2 PM Service in Oak Lake Lutheran Church, 53131 Shadow Oak Rd., Kerrick.
