Virginia Carol Best, 64, of Willow River, died Monday, November 14, 2011 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born September 5, 1947 in Grand Rapids to Lawrence and Vivian (Sword) Dunkelbarger. Virginia taught at Willow River School for 34 years. Virginia was united in marriage to Jay Best on December 27, 1997 in Willow River. Virginia was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Willow River. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening and cross country skiing.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle, Gina and Hank Rautavirta; nephew, Steven.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Jay Best of Willow River; 1 brother, Jim (Marie) Dunkelbarger of Surprise, AZ; 1 sister, Joyce Tatgren of Hibbing; nieces, Joy, Gail, Sharon and Stephanie.
