Warren M. Martinson, 82, of Moose Lake, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. He was born January 29, 1928 in Cambridge to Alfred and Lillian (Peterson) Martinson. Warren grew up in Sturgeon Lake and lived his entire life in the Moose Lake area. Warren worked driving truck and charter bus. He owned his own trucking company and bought his first truck when he was 12. He most recently worked for LCS Coaches. Warren enjoyed rebuilding antique tractors and also owned a gravel pit.
Warren is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne; an infant daughter and his brother Earl.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Smart of Moose Lake; 1 son, Gale (Anita) Martinson of Blaine; 3 daughters, Nancy Martinson of Sandstone, Ann (Bill) Burke of Robbinsdale and Wendy (Gary) Hoadley of Pelican Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Julie, Jeanne, Riana, Emily, Alyssa, Krista and Candace; 3 great grandchildren, Dylan, Allyson and Annella; 3 step-sons, Paul (Susan) of Duluth and their children, Katie and Ted, J (Lu) of Apple Valley and their children, J.T., Seth and Connor and Kyle (Wendy) of Mora and their children, Kaden, Jonah and Dawson; sister-in-law, Norma Martinson of Omaha, NE; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 27, from 10 AM until the 11 AM service in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
