Obituary

William "Bill" Edwin Kruse, 63, of Sturgeon Lake, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 after a bout with cancer. Bill was born June 25, 1952 in St. Paul to Ed and Loretta (Flannery) Kruse. Bill graduated from Willow River High School in 1970 and Duluth Vocational Technical Institute in 1972. Bill was united in marriage to Mary Swanson on April 15, 1972 in Sturgeon Lake. He worked for Jeno's Inc. in Duluth and Ohio until he went to work for the State of MN in Moose Lake where he retired in 2007. Bill enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, playing cards and pool and looked forward to deer hunting camp every year and our special family Kruseapalooza. Bill was very active in church having served on the Parish Council and other positions for three different Priests. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Moose Lake and held various positions in the fraternity.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and infant granddaughter, Elizabeth Kruse.

Bill is survived by his wife Mary Kruse; children, Wade (Kelly) Kruse, Billie Jo (Pete) Steen, Grady (Jill) Kruse, Ryan (Lisa) Kruse and Brodie (Katy) Kruse; grandchildren, Reagan, Aaron and Lane Kruse, Emma, Ben and Joey Steen, Connor, Noah and Mickey Kruse, Jackson, Sam, Charlie and Nora Kruse, Patrick, Louisa, Joan and Michael Kruse; brother, Fred (Shirley) Kruse; sister, Karen (Bill) Ackerson; Aunt, Viola (Kruse) Goeringer of Bellevue, WA and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving dog, Stuey.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, from 3-5 PM in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and will continue Monday, March 7 from 10:30 AM until the 11:30 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
