William "Bill" Eknes, 87, Moose Lake, MN, died on Wednesday, February 10,  2021 in St. Cloud, MN surrounded by his family. He was born in Scanlon, MN to Ole and Sofia (Erickson) Eknes on September 29, 1933.

On November 22, 1952, Bill married Bette Kreitlow in Moose Lake.  They lived in Cloquet where Bill worked as an accountant at Potlach. Later in life, Bette and Bill moved back to Moose Lake, a town they both loved.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Mae Eknes; parents, Ole and Sofia Eknes; son, Bruce Eknes; as well as seven brothers and four sisters.

He will be deeply missed by his four children, Beth (Steve) Wilson; Bill, Jr. (Paul) Eknes-Tucker; Brenda (Joel) Roff; and Bret (Cindy) Eknes; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson; daughter-in-law: Cindy Eknes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake in the spring.
